Unconfirmed reports suggest that two persons belonging to Kannur district were arrested by Saudi authorities for passing on sim cards and money to Islamic State terrorists.
The arrested persons were detained from Yemen border where they were handing over the sim cards and money to terrorists. Later, the police searched their flat and detained two women also. However, their role is being investigated.
According to a report in Mathrubhumi, the accused had obtained sim cards using forged documents. All the persons in the custody belong to the same family. One of the roommates have slipped into India, though he is yet to reach Kerala.
