The ruling Trinamool Congress’ cadre are on a killing spree in Bengal. On Friday, a BJP worker was found hanging from a pole in Dabha village of Purulia’s Balarampur. The victim, 32-year-old Dulal Kumar, had gone missing on Friday. It is suspected that the TMC goons abducted and murdered him before hanging him from a pole. What is interesting is the national media has totally ignored the happening in Bengal.
Trinamool has been targeting BJP workers who had campaigned for the party in the recent panchayat election. BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya in a Twitter message claimed that Dulal’s murder was quite similar to that of BJP activist Trilochan Mahato who was found dead last Wednesday. According to reports, Mahato was also tortured to death and his body was hung with a message written on the back of his T-shirt, accusing him of supporting the BJP.
The poster read: “He (Mahato) should die because he supported BJP.” Although a case has been registered, the police have been acting very slow, alleged BJP. Hundreds of workers and leaders of the West Bengal BJP on Friday held protests and demonstrations against Dulal’s killing.
Protests were also held outside several police stations by the BJP workers, who accused the state administration of failing to maintain law and order.
State BJP chief Dilip Ghosh had accused the Trinamool Congress of trying to obliterate the political opposition from the state. Ghosh, however, claimed that his party is capable of giving a befitting reply to the ruling party’s violence.
