Shameless Kerala Police makes unholy demand from Sabarimala authorities

Reports suggest that IG of Police has demanded 5,000 packs of Aravana Payasam (prasad) from Sabarimala temple free of cost for personnel deployed at Sabarimala.

Now, Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) is in a fix. The cost of the payasam works out to several lakhs of rupees. They do not know how to comply with these sorts of “free of cost” business when the number of pilgrims and the revenue have come down drastically. Even otherwise, TDB has to pick up the tab for a part of the total food expenses of the thousands of policemen deployed there. “They are demanding their pound of flesh for torturing and harassing devotees. The Communists in the Devasowm Board will comply with the demand also,” said Radhakrishnan of Hindu Aikya Vedi.
