IE Malayalam, the Malayalam digital media outlet of The Indian Express, on Wednesday carried a news item saying the RSS publication in Kerala Kesari in its editorial had come down heavily on the Narendra Modi government and praised state Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Soon it published another news item which said “following RSS intervention, Kesari withdrew the controversial editorial.”
It was a planted news and some other media outlets like CPI(M)’s mouthpiece Deshabhimani and Jamat-i-Islami’s Media One also published the news item. Political turncoat MP Veerendra Kumar’s paper also carried the news item.
Madhu, the editor of Kesari, said his editorial team came to know about the hacking after the IE Malayalam report. “But the morons who hacked and inserted the fake editorial, did not have any ingenuity. The language and the style used by the hacker is similar to that of the trolls unleashed by the CPI(M). It is the handiwork of CPI(M)’s dirty works department. This was lapped up by journalists on the payrolls of the CPI(M),” said an member of the Kesari editorial team.
Madhu said he had filed a complaint with cyber cell of the state police. “We have also filed a criminal complaint in the Kasaba Police station also. We have some suspects. The journalists acted hand in glove with the hackers. We are confident that the police will be able to crack the case,” said Madhu.
The Pinarayi government is on the backfoot for messing up the management of floods. The CPI(M)’s is desperately trying to divert public attention from government’s failure which resulted in massive death and destruction.
The journalist who reported the news item for The Indian Express, Kiran Gangadharan, is a hardcore CPI(M) activist. He, in a tweet, says: “Kerala is my country. UAE, Qatar, Maldives etc. are some of the countries that love us. Although we don’t have any hatred, that India hates us bitterly. What can we do?”
Another tweet shows how ‘brainwashed’ Commie he is: “If Kerala were an independent country, Chinese would have deluged it with Rs 1 lakh crore. That bloody Central government…” A respondent on Twitter suggested this scribe could be hand-in-glove with the hackers.
