India has once again snubbed the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which on Monday asked the government to allow the organisation and its human rights wing to send a fact-finding mission to Kashmir. It had condemned the killing of terrorist supporters who tried to prevent an army operation against Pakistan-sponsored terrorists in Pulwama in the Valley. “India has ignored OIC’s utterances with the contempt it deserved,” said an foreign commentator who doesn’t want to be quoted.
OIC has been working as the mouthpiece of Pakistan and always remains silent on the human rights violations taking place in Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. India has never given into the demands of the Islamic body.
OIC General Secretariat said: “OIC General Secretariat expressed strong condemnation of the killing of innocent Kashmiris by #Indian forces in Indian-occupied #Kashmir (#IOK) where direct shooting at demonstrators in Pulwama region claimed the lives of a number of innocent citizens.”
In another tweet, it said: “OIC_IPHRC recently received a detailed briefing on the worsening #human rights situation in the #Indian occupied #Kashmir (#IoK). @OIC_IPHRC condemned the recent wave of violence against civilians & called on Indian Government to allow #OIC & IPHRC fact finding mission to visit IoK.”
