Two Youth Congress workers were brutally hacked to death in Kerala on Sunday by Marxist goons in Kasaragod. The incident had triggered widespread revulsion and anger over the murder politics practiced by the CPI(M).
Ever since Pinarayi Vijayan became the chief minister of the state, there have been attacks on political rivals. Initially, the attack was directed against RSS and Muslim League cadres. Several RSS workers were brutally killed by the Marxist goons.
While condemning the killings of Youth Congress workers, Rahul Gandhi has avoided mentioning the CPI(M), which, according to police, is responsible for the savagery. Gandhi scion is shying away from mentioning the name of the CPI(M) because he doesn’t want to upset the political coalition emerging at national level of which CPI(M) is a close ally.
Condemning the attack, Rahul Gandhi tweeted: “The brutal murder of two members of our Youth Congress family in Kasargod, Kerala is shocking. The Congress Party stands in solidarity with the families of these two young men & I send them my deepest condolences. We will not rest till the murderers are brought to justice.”
Responding to Rahul’s tweet, BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi tweeted: Cant mention #CPMTerror in the tweet as Rahul ji might be worried about Mahaaaa Gadbandhan politics more important than the death of its own party workers
