A delegation of BJP Members of Parliament appointed by party president Amit Shah on December 3 met Kerala Governor P Sathasivam and apprised him of the situation in Sabarimala and atrocities meted out to BJP workers who were fighting for devotees’ by the police. The delegation also met the leaders of Sabarimala Action Council on December 2.
The delegation consists of BJP general secretary Saroj Pandey, president of Scheduled Tribe Morcha Vinod Somkar, Prahlad Joshi and Nalinkumar Kattil discussed issues with S J R Kumar (General Convener), Swamy Ayyappadas, ES Biju and KS Narayanan. V Muraleedharan, O Rajagopal, State President Adv. PS Sreedharan Pillai and General Secretaries AN Radhakrishnan, Shobha Surendran and Organising Secretary Ganeshan also participated in the discussion.
The anti-Sabarimala activities of the Leftist Kerala Government, Police atrocities and arrests of devotees of Lord Ayyappa charging false cases, the unwarranted prohibitory order under Sec.144 imposed at sacred Sabarimala, lack of basic amenities in Sabarimala, requirement of financial assistance from Central Government, unwarranted interference of State Government in the administration, rituals, traditions and customs of Sabarimala Temple, continuation of the Police Raj in Sabarimala, refusal of basic amenities to devotees etc. were discussed in detail.
The SAC leaders requested the BJP delegation to impress the Central Government to intervene and closely monitor the anti – Hindu and anti-Sabarimala activities of the leftist Kerala Government aiming at the destruction of the world famous and holy Sabarimala attracting 5-6 crores of devotees every year.
Later, the BJP delegation along with other leaders met the governor and submitted a memorandum demanding his intervention for the immediate withdrawal of prohibitory order, release of all devotees and bring back peace and harmony in Sabarimala.
