In a case of powerful tweaking rules as per their convenience, Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa son BY Vijayendra reportedly violated lockdown rules and visited Srikanteshwara Temple in Mysuru along with his wife on Tuesday.
The government of Karnataka on April 24 had imposed restrictions on religious institutions and also public gatherings and again on May 10 imposed a strict lockdown to contain the spread of Covid cases. Hence all the temples, churches, masjids, dargah and other religious places are closed to the public.
However, these rules imposed by CM have been violated by his very own son now.
It is said that Vijayendra along with his wife visited the temple early in the morning and ensured no press and photographers were around.
As per reports, the Mysuru BJP unit president Mangala Somashekhar also confirmed Vijayendra’s visit to Mysuru.
The couple were at the temple premises for about 30 minutes and performed some rituals. It is said that Vijayendra had performed some rituals at the banks of river Cauvery at Sangam on Monday and the following day he visited the Srikanteshwara Temple in Mysuru’s Nanjangud taluk.
